IMPROV / FREE PARKING 

Fully improvised, interactive, and original comedy performed by a fantastic adult cast with the help of our audience.

How does it work?
Using audience suggestions and inviting volunteers to join us onstage as characters, objects, and sound effects, we create a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience. It's silly, high energy, and hilarious in the most unexpected ways, the story can go in a million directions and every one of them is a surprise.

Who is it for?
Everyone. Performed by some of Austin's most beloved adult Improvisers, these shows are crafted to engage, empower and entertain both kids and adults. Audience members can feel free to enjoy the show by taking part through suggestions & volunteering, or by watching from their seats. There is never a requirement to take part.

First time attending a show at ColdTowne? Here's some helpful information:

Where is the theater? ColdTowne is located at 1700 East Second Street. We have a private, gated parking lot that will be open to allow audience members convenient (and free!) parking.

Is ColdTowne a child-friendly venue? Yes! Saturday mornings, all day Sunday, and weekdays during the summer, ColdTowne turns its space over to kids and teens for shows and classes. Though we ask that patrons be respectful of our theater, it is a comfortable, clean venue that's perfect for a kids' show and appropriate for excited young comedy fans.

Is it entertaining for adults as well as kids? Yes. 100%. The cast of Story Starts is comprised of performers seen on comedy stages all over town. This is the G-rated Saturday morning version of their usual comedy gold.

ColdTowne Theater is located at 1700 East 2nd St. about a mile east of IH35 and one block north of Cesar Chavez St. We are no longer located on Airport Blvd. Check your destination before heading out, especially if you are using a rideshare like Uber or Lyft. 

We provide free parking, and street parking nearby is free after our lot is full. We recommend arriving at the venue 20-30 minutes before the advertised showtime to enjoy our bar! (ColdTowne is not BYOB). 

All event sales are final. No refunds will be issued for late arrivals.
