KB Bookins (CHURCH GIRL)
KB Brookins (they/them) is a Black queer and trans writer, educator, and cultural worker from Texas. KB’s chapbook How To Identify Yourself with a Wound won the Saguaro Poetry Prize, a Writer’s League of Texas Discovery Prize, and a Stonewall Honor Book Award. Their debut poetry collection Freedom House won the American Library Association Barbara Gittings Literature Award and the Texas Institute of Letters Award for the Best First Book of Poetry. KB’s debut memoir Pretty won the Great Lakes Colleges Association New Writers Award.

Patrice Smith (GAFFERS)
Patrice Sarath is a writer and filmmaker in Austin, Texas. Her novels include the fantasy series Books of the Gordath (Penguin), The Tales of Port Saint Frey (Angry Robot Books), and the romance The Unexpected Miss Bennet (Penguin). Her short films include Do Over, a feel-good pony movie that won Best Short Film at the Equinale Film Festival in Mecklenburg Germany, and Shakespeare in the Diner: Macbeth, which won an Honorable Mention in the New York Film & Female Actors Award Festival. Her short film Hell: A Rescue Mission is in post-production and is based on her short story of the same name, collected in her short story collected Into the Dark (NewCon Press).

Kevin is the co-creator, writer, and actor of the Showtime Series Flatbush Misdemeanors. He is also a stand up comedian that has performed regularly at the comedy cellar in NYC and now resides in Austin, TX. When he’s not on stage or writing he’s watching anime or mowing the lawn.

Michael and Nicole Simonds (SAVAGE)
Michael Simonds (he/they) is a queer, Latine software developer and emerging writer based out of Austin, Texas. He has fiction published in LatineLit and Ghostlight Magazine. He is currently a fiction reader for Split Lip Magazine and screenplay reader for the Austin Film Festival. When he’s not working or writing you can find him running, reading, or at his local movie theater.

ColdTowne Theater is located at 1700 East 2nd St. about a mile east of IH35 and one block north of Cesar Chavez St. We are no longer located on Airport Blvd. Check your destination before heading out, especially if you are using a rideshare like Uber or Lyft. 

We provide free parking, and street parking nearby is free after our lot is full. We recommend arriving at the venue 20-30 minutes before the advertised showtime to enjoy our bar! (ColdTowne is not BYOB). 

All event sales are final. No refunds will be issued for late arrivals.
