From the twisted mind of Kelsey Harper and her 30 finger puppets comes “Something Like… Musical.” “Something Like… Musical” is the only comedy show in Los Angeles where Kelsey Harper learns the music to a famous musical doesn’t look up the plot then performs what SHE believes happens with finger puppets.

“Something Like… Musical” incorporates song dance puppetry storytelling multi-media video elements and sometimes… some behind the scenes drama — When you get that many puppets together there’s bound to be some divas.

Kelsey is a graduate of the NYU Dramatic Writing MFA program. She wrote directed and co-produced “What Can I Get Started For You” the podcast which was in 19 festivals and won 6. She performs stand up around Brooklyn and Los Angeles and besides “Something Like… Musical” she also hosts and produces "Phones Down" at the Lyric Hyperion in Los Angeles.

Something Like... Musical has won the Cultural Arts Envoy Award and Producer's Encore Award at the Hollywood Fringe Festival (2023). It had a residency at the Jaxx Theater (2023-2024) and now plays at the Lyric Hyperion in Los Angeles. It was nominated for Best Solo Show and Best Musical/Ensemble in BroadwayWorld LA (2023)


Neil Dorsey is Austin's sweatiest DILF/comedian. Originally from Indiana he's an O.G. Children of the Corn. Neil has performed in comedy fests and clubs across the US and has been nominated for Austin Chronicle's "Best New Comedy Act" of 2023 and won the 2018 B. Iden Payne award for "Outstanding Improvised Production".

ColdTowne Theater is located at 1700 East 2nd St. about a mile east of IH35 and one block north of Cesar Chavez St. We are no longer located on Airport Blvd. Check your destination before heading out, especially if you are using a rideshare like Uber or Lyft. 

We provide free parking, and street parking nearby is free after our lot is full. We recommend arriving at the venue 20-30 minutes before the advertised showtime to enjoy our bar! (ColdTowne is not BYOB).
