Learn the fundamentals of improv comedy and meet cool new people in the process in level 1! This course is designed to help students unlock their inner creativity in a fun, silly, and supportive environment. Whether you want to become a better writer/actor/performer, or you just want to improve your self awareness, communication, and relational skills, level 1 improv will build your confidence both on-stage and off. This class will teach you how to celebrate who you are through honesty, spontaneity, playfulness, and saying “yes, and.”

This course is 8 classes plus a performance. No prior experience required!

ABBY LINCOLN is an improviser, actor, and teacher from Austin, Texas. Abby has a BFA in Acting from Shenandoah Conservatory, which is where she began improvising.  Abby is also a graduate of ColdTowne Conservatory and has been featured on ColdTowne house teams and mainstage shows, including B.Iden Payne nominees “Sextet”, “Dinner for Six”, and “Express Yourself.” Abby began teaching in public schools in 2015 and currently teaches GED courses at a local nonprofit. 2015 is also the year that Abby began classes at ColdTowne, which makes it all the more special to bring together her two greatest passions, education and comedy, in the role of conservatory director.
